Setting Up Gmail with yey.email
Step 1: Create Gmail App Password
Sign in to your Google account if prompted
Click "Select app" and choose "Mail"
Click "Select device" and choose "Other (Custom name)"
Enter "YEY email" as the app name
Click "Generate"
Copy the 16-character password that appears (it will look like:
abcd efgh ijkl mnop
)
Step 2: Connect Gmail to yey.email
Navigate to yey.email Inbox Settings
Click the "Gmail" button in the "Add Email Account" section
Enter your full Gmail address (e.g.,
[email protected]
)Paste the app password you generated in Step 1
Click "Add Account" to connect
Step 3: Set Up Encryption (Optional but Recommended)
Go to your yey.email Dashboard
Click "Generate Encryption Keys" if you haven't already
Copy your public key address
Share your email address and public key with contacts who want to send you encrypted emails
